Globalepiphany.com had a mission to educate the world of the many people who were trying to survive in the most terrible of circumstances. Sadly, about one billion people live on less than $1 a day. One child dies from AIDS and extreme poverty every three seconds. More than one billion people do not have access to clean water. Globalepiphany.com believed that everyone has a responsibility to stay informed about what was going on in the world and to do their part to make it a better place. With only one earth, all are united by a common humanity. If each person did something to make a difference in another person's life, the world would be transformed in ways unimaginable. The Global Epiphany website was devoted to providing information on how to help others. There were also a variety of ways discussed to help the environment and help heal Mother Earth. Whether helping humans or animals, one can find ways to provide safety and care for all living creatures. The time to DO something about it is now! One person CAN make a difference and help others turn the world into a better place.
One way that an individual could help was to purchase (RED) products. By buying (RED) things, one was making a donation to people in Africa dying of AIDS, giving them access to life-saving medication. There were (RED) phones, (RED) fashions, (RED) credit cards, and more! This was not charity. It was a business model that could make a world of difference, and a difference in the world.
Another opportunity used to be the OXFAM AMERICA UNWRAPPED program, wherein one can give the gift of generosity. For the person in one's life who has everything, the Oxfam America Unwrapped program allowed the buyer to make a donation in another's name. The friend received a card telling them about the gift that was bought in their honor, and the gift itself went to those who need it most! For example, purchasing a camel for $175 may help in a number of ways. These creatures can survive extreme weather conditions over long periods, produce valuable resources like milk and dung for fuel and fertilizer.
