Invisible Children is devoted to raising awareness about what is happening to the children in Northern Uganda as a result of a 20 year long war. A group of 30 people are traveling across the United States right now to cover 400 screenings of a movie shot by three young Americans from California in the Spring of 2003 documenting this tragedy. In every community, boys and girls are left to find their recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult supervision. Girls and Boys Clubs provide a safe place for kids to go to learn and grow. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility anywhere. Discoveries made there have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. All patients accepted for treatment at St. Jude are treated without regard for the family’s ability to pay.
